Article Abstract:
The article examines the growth of the environmental justice movement in California, which targets the disproportionate pollutants exposure borne by specific neighborhoods, typically those which house low-income residents. Included is a list of legislative actions taken to curb pollution emissions in these regions and to incorporate environmental justice tenets into the state's Environmental Protection Agency.
