Organized crime, corruption and punishment
Article Abstract:
A model of oligopoly wherein criminal organizations compete on global scale and bribe the local law enforcers to evade punishment is examined. The presence of a threshold limit after which increasing policing and punishments result in increase in organized crimes is highlighted.
