Russia at the crossroads
Article Abstract:
The best way to investigate the problems in Russia is to see them in terms of transition from one social system to another, and to look at the ways this transition affects and is affected by social, economic, cultural and political factors, both historically and contemporarily. An analysis in Russia in these terms reveals that an ideological education of the Russian people, who have never lived in a democracy, and a development of a democratic culture would aid the economic and political transition to full democracy.
