Social evaluation functions, economic isolation and the Suit index of progressivity
Article Abstract:
The social evaluation functions and their related inequality indices conform to the established principle of transfers and are symmetric. Moreover, the social evaluation functions are rising along rays of income. The inequality index is a basic and essential function of an index of isolation of the poor from the rich in their economic interactions. All indices are definite functions of a normative parameter v, an attribute which reveals the ethical susceptibility of all social welfare, inequality, progressivity and redistributive decisions.

Annual versus lifetime income redistribution by social security
Article Abstract:
Lifetime income tends to produce a much lesser redistributive impact than annual income. The Netherlands' social security system revealed that lifetime income is almost 35% less unequally distributed than annual income. Such situation exists for old-age pensions and social assistance, as well as disability state pension. The Dutch social security system also revealed that the difference in redistributive impact tends to increase as the age of cohort decreases.
