War, peace, and the size of countries
Article Abstract:
A study using an econometric model to analyze the effect of international conflict on the size distribution of countries is presented. The effect of cost of conflict and war on size distribution of countries is examined. The study also analyzes the effect of international laws and property rights which may result in further split of the country and more local conflicts.
