Baton Rouge Woman's Hospital considers patients' sensitivity and machismo in promoting fertility center
Article Abstract:
Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA, elected to implement a patient-driven marketing campaign for the opening of its new Woman's Cneter for Fertility in early 2000. The hospital, established in 1968, ranks 16th in the entire US with about 7,000 deliveries annually. Before launching the advertising campaign, Woman's Hospital's communications department decided to organize a focus group composed of former patients and asked for their inputs.

Saint Vincents introduces non-surgical lung cancer treatment: respiratory gating
Article Abstract:
Saint Vincents Comprehensive Cancer Center introduced in the New York, NY- market a non-surgical lung cancer treatment, known as respiratory gating, supported by a marketing campaign using newspaper, radio and Web site advertisements. The campaign, which was launched in Nov 2000, was designed to publicize the new cancer treatment and invite people to the new $40- million cancer center. Saint Vincents is part of a partnership between Saint Vincent Hospital and Medical Center and Salick Health Care Inc.
