Health evaluation underscores need for MSD prevention
Article Abstract:
In the year 2003, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) accounted for one-third of all workplace injuries. For this purpose, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), has a variety of ergo programs to be implemented. Workers are invited to inform the NIOSH anonymously, incase they find instances of MSDs in their organizations. The steps involved in implementing an ergo program by NIOSH, is explained through a corporate example.
