Mind your language
Article Abstract:
Most European countries require products to carry adequate warnings and instructions in the main language of the country. However this can only influence those who understand the language and employers are also having to avoid assuming that every worker speaks the same language. The HSE says it is not practical to publish safety literature in minority languages, although it is undertaking a study into the whether the safety requirements are being met for those who do not have adequate command of the English language.
