A simpler test for cervical cancer
Article Abstract:
Wiping the cervix with vinegar, which is an acetic acid solution, and visually inspecting the area is a simple method to check for precancerous lesions, because lesions are often clearly visible after a vinegar swab. Testing over 11,000 women in Zimbabwe revealed the vinegar swab revealed more abnormalities than pap smears.
