A transcriptional basis for physiology
Article Abstract:
Ronald Evans, who is at The Salk Institute for Biology Studies, California discusses on his research life that started from the Darnell lab at the Rockfeller University, whose members focused on RNA synthesis and processing. He further made various researches related to physiology and hopes them to be continued by his colleagues and put together medicine, pharmacology and cell biology.

G-CSF prevents cardiac remodeling after myocardial infraction by activating the Jak-Stat pathway in cardiomyocytes
Article Abstract:
The molecular mechanisms of how granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) prevents left ventricular remodeling after myocardial infraction are examined. The results show that G-CSF promotes survival of cardiac myocytes and prevents left ventricular remodeling after myocardial infraction through the functional communication between cardiomyocytes and noncardiomyocytes.
