Action research in rehabilitation care for older people
Article Abstract:
The findings of an action research investigation undertaken on a rehabilitation ward for older people are discussed. It was found that ward features, research design and characteristics of action research all played a role in promoting successful changes in practice. Barriers to the provision of psychological care were revealed.

Meeting the needs of older people in rehabilitation care
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning the nursing care of older people in rehabilitation environments are discussed. Research undertaken in a mixed-sex rehabilitation unit with 22 beds indicates that there is potential for the rehabilitation nurse's role to be expanded to meet patients' psychosocial requirements.
