The article discusses how inflammatory diseases destroy autoimmunity in the body of humans and how emphysema is high in tobacco smokers. Explanation of the severity of emphysema, an autoimmune disease, and its responses to the antielastin antibody is given.

Differential requirement for CD8 in T-helper effector homing
Article Abstract:
Research demonstrates that CD18 facilitates T-helper2 homing but not the T-helper1 effectors. Results point out to an integrin-based therapeutic approach, in which the disease outcome can be influenced by manipulating the homing of T-helper2 cells.
