Article Abstract:
Arthritis cause joint inflammation and may affect muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Genetic factors, environmental factors, nutrition, and infection are considered to be contributors to the development of arthritis. Of the more than 100 forms of arthritis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid type arthritis are the most common. Osteoarthritis involves the erosion of the cartilage that caps in joint bones. Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory disease. The synovial membrane becomes inflammed to cause pain and swelling.
