Aspirin, "super aspirin" use in women for cardio prevention probed
Article Abstract:
Scientists discover the benefits of aspirin use for women in preventing or reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. It can be noted that while super aspirin (glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors) helps in lowering the risk of myocardial infarction or death from non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome, the therapy is not used as often in women due to a higher risk of bleeding compare to men.
