Familial risk of obesity and central adipose tissue distribution in the general Canadian population
Article Abstract:
A study to determine the familial risk of obesity and fat distribution in the Canadians aged 7-69m was undertaken with 15,245 participants from 6, 377 families. The standard risk ratio (SRR) and Body Mass Index results are consistent with other studies, but the risk of obesity in families members of extremely or morbidly obese individuals is five to eight times higher then that in the general population.

DDE and DDT in breast adipose tissue and risk of female breast cancer
Article Abstract:
The link between environmental exposure to DDT and DDE and breast cancer risk was not confirmed. Examination of breast tissue yielded no significant difference in DDT/DDE concentrations between cancer cases and controls.
