Assisted-suicide numbers continue to rise in Oregon
Article Abstract:
The 38 assisted suicide cases in Oregon represented an 81% increase in the year 2002 as compared to 21 cases in 2001. The reasons given by patients wanting to end their lives included losing autonomy, decreasing ability to participate in activities and losing control over bodily functions.

Texas mulls organ donation by presumed consent policy

The argument regarding the acceptance of a presumed consent policy bill by Texas is presented. According to the presumed consent policy, adults are assumed to be agreed organ donors unless they have officially recorded their desire not to donate.
