BTS moves to prevent steroid risk to children
Article Abstract:
British Thoracic Society (BTS) has issued guidelines for asthma management as concerns rise about children being given excessively-high inhaled steroids doses. The guidelines will be divided up into three age groups: up to five years old, 5-12 years, and 12 years and over.

Pneumococcal vaccine and the new child vaccination schedule

The new pneumococcal vaccine schedule provides children additional protection against pneumococcal infection. The change in immunization schedule will be welcomed and will result in significant improvement in the health of the UK's children.
