Ban on the intact Dilatation and Extraction (D&X), called as the epartial-birth abortionE by the anti-abortion movement was passed in the Senate. The American Medical Association (AMA) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists issued statements that doctors rather than the government should have the authority to decide if certain medical procedures are to be performed or not.
