Belfast lessons in continence care
Article Abstract:
A number of organizations in Belfast, Northern Ireland, are involved in a project, set up in 1995, to support sufferers of incontinence and their carers. The main aims of the group are to work on models of good practice suitable for adoption nationally, regionally or locally, to offer advice, information support and training for patients, carers and professionals, to improve knowledge of continence among professionals, and to set standards of services for sufferers of incontinence.

Bangladeshi venture
Article Abstract:
Sandwell Health NHS Trust, in the Midlands, UK, offers efficient continence services to its multicultural community through its mother and baby clinics. Bangladeshi women are at increased risk of suffering incontinence as they have numerous pregnancies. Sandwell, which has a population of more than 2,000 Bangladeshis, learned from a group in Tower Hamlets, London, which had developed a continence service to which Bangladeshi women had access.
