Risk for distant recurrence of breast cancer detected by mammography screening or other methods
Article Abstract:
The objective of this study is comparing the risk of recurrence and survival among women with cancerous tumors, which were detected by mammography screening with other methods outside of screening. It was found that the cancer tumors detected by mammography screening are associated with a better prognosis than tumors of similar size found outside of screening.
