Betrayal of trust
Article Abstract:
It took seven months to diagnose a spinal tumour which nearly killed a patient, despite several admissions to hospital for acute urine retention and severe back pain. During his stay in hospital, the patient was subjected to several episodes of bullying by medical staff who failed to properly assess his complaint, thus leaving him in an extremely vulnerable and confused state, which further hindered his recovery. The hospital where the incident occurred settled out of court after the threat of legal action, mainly due to reports showing no examination of the tumour area was carried out.

Article Abstract:
The development of a dedicated and independent trauma pod could help save the lifes of people seriously injured in remote locations. Treating patients within a limited time frame means stabilization and effective drug delivery systems are important. Treating badly injured soldiers during war has allowed medical experts to develop a self-contained 40 kilogram trauma pod, which houses all the most import pieces of medical equipment for dealing with trauma patients.
