Sucden of France, a sugar trade, has been involved in sugar engineering helping CIS countries with technology required for sugar production. The company is hoping to set up a permanent base in the region for ongoing technological assistance. It is helping with the modernisation of the Zaisnk sugar processing factory in Tatarstan, a former Soviet republic.
