Article Abstract:
The ethical challenges associated with nursing are discussed. The UKCC Code of Professional Conduct indicates that nurses must respond to each patient's requirements for care, regardless of their religious views or any other issue. As professionals, nurses must know when it would be appropriate to let go of their beliefs.

Going back to my roots
Article Abstract:
Experiences of returning to midwifery after a break of several years are presented. Becoming involved in grass-roots midwifery again was very enjoyable, with colleagues being very supportive. However, some middle-grade doctors were very arrogant.

A study into the deaths of infants was published in 2000. A variety of factors causing sudden infant deaths were investigated, including smoking, social depravation, sleeping position of infants and infections.
