Breast-cancer stromal cells with TP53 mutations and nodal metastases
Article Abstract:
TP53 mutation analysis and genomewide analysis of loss of heterozygosity and allelic imbalance are performed on DNA from isolated neoplastic epithelial and stromal cells from patients with hereditary and sporadic breast cancer. Results show that TP53 mutations are associated with an increased loss of heterozygosity and allelic imbalance in both hereditary and sporadic breast cancers.

Molecular classification of patients with unexplained hamartomatous and hyperplastic polyposis
Article Abstract:
Patients with unexplained hamartomatous or hyperplastic/mixed polyposis were systematically classified by extensive molecular analysis in the context of central rereview of histopathology results. Systematic molecular classification of 49 patients with unexplained hamartomatous or hyperplastic polyposis uncovered a potential novel susceptibility gene, ENG, for juvenile polyposis.

Genomic instability within tumor stroma and clinicopathological characteristics of sporadic primary invasive breast carcinoma
Article Abstract:
A study to analyze the relationship between stromal cell genomic alterations, which significantly alter tumor behavior and present the clinicopathological features in sporadic breast cancer, was conducted. The observations showed more correlations between clinicopathological features and the loss of heterozygosity/allelic imbalance in the stroma than in the epithelium.
