Can lowering cholesterol help prevent a second heart attack?
Article Abstract:
Lowering the blood cholesterol can reduce the chance of having a second heart attack. The risk of premature death from heart disease or other diseases is also reduced. Adults 65 years of age or older with blood cholesterol levels of 275 mg/dl are at the greatest risk.
