Carers' needs when relatives go into a care home
Article Abstract:
A study to assess the role of nurses in supporting family members when caring for patients entrusted to long-term care is conducted. Results show that it is imperative for nurses to empathize with family members and elicit information regarding the institutionalized member in an effort to provide better care.
