Case 29-2003: a 60-year-old man with fever, rigors, and sweats
Article Abstract:
A 60-year-old man who developed fever, tremors, and sweating was diagnosed with both Lyme disease and babesiosis. These two parasitic infections are transmitted by the same tick. He lived in a wooded area north of Boston and had received several tick bites a month or two before his symptoms began. He was successfully treated with antibiotics.

A 50-year-old man with fever and joint pain
Article Abstract:
A 50-year-old man with fever and joint pain was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus. This case is unusual because only 10% of people with SLE are men and this patient did not take any medications that usually cause SLE in middle-aged men.
