Case 35-2003: a 75-year-old man with a cystic lesion of the pancreas

A 75-year-old man who had a cyst in his pancreas was diagnosed with intraductal papillary mucinous carcinoma of the pancreas. Because of the extent of the cancer, his entire pancreas was surgically removed along with part of his stomach and small intestine.

Article Abstract:
A case study of a 58-year old man diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer is presented. The symptoms included vague discomfort in the upper quadrant and left epigastrium, which occurred one hour after meals and subsided after one to two hours.
