"Children's palliative care services are at the mercy of an insecure future"
Article Abstract:
The UK government has made available a total of pounds sterling 27 million for children's hospice services. As a result, East Anglia's Children's Hospice (EACH) developed a new multi disciplinary care team to deliver services across range of settings rather than the previous delineated hospice and community-based teams.

Pulmonary rehabilitation buddy scheme wins NICE's Shared Learning Award
Article Abstract:
The author discusses the functions of the pulmonary rehabilitation buddy scheme that jointly won the NICE's Shared Learning Award 2007. The scheme was extremely mobile and consisted of trained volunteers, who offered encouragement and support to the patients.

Female urinals for women with impaired mobility
Article Abstract:
A description of the range of female urinals currently available is presented along with guidance on product selection. A novel device designed to overcome some of the limitations of conventional urinals is introduced.
