Chronic cough: It can be helped
Article Abstract:
Coughing is a normal reaction to irritants in the respiratory system and when a person coughs, a carefully coordinated reflex occurs involving the brain, muscles and organs in the throat, chest and abdomen. Some practical ways of treatment are keeping a record of what the doctor suspects and the results of his tests, coughing with the vocal chords open, recording the dates when medicine was started and stopped, and at the end of the treatment trial, noting the condition of the cough on a scale of 0 to 10.
