The impact of interventional trials on chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the public health is discussed. Apolipoprotein E and progression of chronic kidney disease
Article Abstract:
The risk of chronic kidney disease progression associated with apolipoprotein E gene (APOE) in a population-based study including white, African American, diabetic, and nondiabetic individuals is quantified. APOE variation predicts chronic kidney disease progression, independent of diabetes, race, lipid, and nonlipid risk factors.
