Cleaning simple wounds: Healing by secondary intention
Article Abstract:
A study into wound bed preparation suggests that cleansing a wound to remove debris, excess exu dates, and contaminants is a means of helping to manage the exudates and reduce the bacterial burden of the wound. A brief review on different ways of wound cleansing is done.

Artificial urinary sphincters and their use in the treatment of continence problems, which may be due to the enlargement of the prostate, are described. A case study describes how sphincters are used for a patient following radical prostatectomy.
