A voiding problem: many older men find it difficult to pass urine
Article Abstract:
Around 33% of men aged 50 or over suffer from some type of urinary problem. While some have mild symptoms, others can develop severe disorders and have difficulty in passing urine because of an atonic bladder or benign prostatic hypertrophy. Some voiding problems can be treated with drug therapy, such as the alpha-blocker phenoxybenzamine or the reductase inhibitor finasteride. Other therapy treatments for urinary problems in middle-aged men are discussed.
