Cleaning up the act
Article Abstract:
Nurses noticed that an increasing number of patients who had had endoscopic examinations had Clostridium difficile toxin A in their faeces. Further investigations revealed that insufflators were the cause of the infection. They were not being cleaned after use because the manufacturer claimed it was not necessary. C. difficile causes various enteric diseases and is often results after antibiotic treatment. It can cause diarrhoea, abdominal pain or a perforated bowel. All equipment should be disinfected or sterilized depending on the infection risk to the patient.

Vehicle cleaning - the effects on health
Article Abstract:
The use of powerful cleaning products in the vehicle cleaning industry is believed to be a major factor contributing to the decrease in the national sperm count since the Second World War.
