Clinician-delivered intervention during routine clinical care reduces unprotected sexual behavior among HIV-infected patients
Article Abstract:
A prospective clinical trial was conducted to study the effects of a clinician-delivered intervention, implemented during routine clinical care on the reduction of unprotected sexual behavior of HIV-infected patients. The survey gave a positive result suggesting that such interventions should be integrated with the routine HIV clinical care, as it helps in reducing the frequency of unprotected sex among the HIV-infected patients.

Involving behavioral scientists, health care providers, and HIV-infected patients as collaborators in theory-based HIV prevention and antiretroviral adherence interventions
Article Abstract:
A new model for the collaborative design, implementations, and evaluation of provider-initiated behavior change interventions in the HIV domain is described. The approach rests on recruiting and capitalizing on the strengths of behavioral scientists, health care providers, and patients alike, which offer promise of increasing the frequency and efficiency of provider-initiated health behavior change interventions with patients.

Clinician-initiated HIV risk reduction intervention for HIV positive persons: Formative research, acceptability, and fidelity of the options project
Article Abstract:
A clinician-initiated HIV prevention intervention for HIV positive patients is designed to conduct research on levels and dynamics of HIV risk behavior among HIV positive patients in clinical care. Elicitation research with patients and clinicians identified critical HIV prevention information, motivation, and behavioral skills deficits in HIV-positive patients as well as risky sexual behavior.
