Commentary on meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials for HIV treatment adherence interventions
Article Abstract:
The meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of interventions for adherence to antiretroviral therapy for HIV is presented. The reasons for non-adherence attributable to the absence of a caregiver, the child forgetting, or drug stock exhaustion are early indications that interventions might need to have features to meet the special needs of children.

A population-based analysis of temporal trends in the incidence of squamous anal canal cancer in relation to the HIV epidemic
Article Abstract:
Surveillance, epidemiology and end results (SEER) registry data that was used to describe secular trends in anal cancer incidence and outcomes in relation to changes in the HIV epidemic is discussed. It is observed that men were more likely to be diagnosed with early-stage disease but they were less likely than women to receive radiation therapy.
