Commonly used types of postmenopausal estrogen for treatment of hot flashes
Article Abstract:
The short term efficiency and adverse effects of 2 commonly used estrogens, (CEE) and 17beta- estradiol is compared, for reducing menopausal hot flashes by systematically reviewing controlled trials. The results show that conjugated estrogen and 17 beta-estradiol have consistent and comparable effects on treatment of menopausal and many have similar short term adverse effects.

Postmenopausal estrogen for treatment of hot flashes
Article Abstract:
The current state of evidence for postmenopausal estrogen use to management decisions in two clinical scenarios is discussed. The scenarios examined are initiating therapy in a perimenopausal woman with hot flashes and discontinuing estrogen use in a long-term user.

Effects of conjugated equine estrogen in postmenopausal women with hysterectomy
Article Abstract:
The effects of major disease incidence rates of the most commonly used postmenopausal hormone therapy in the United States are assessed. Conjugated Equine Estrogen is not recommended for chronic disease prevention in postmenopausal women.
