Costimulation blockade with belatacept in renal transplantation
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to demonstrate the noninferiority of belatacept over cyclosporine in the incidence of acute rejection at six months in renal transplantation. Belatacept, an investigational selective costimulation blocker, did not appear to be inferior to cyclosporine as a means of preventing acute rejection after renal transplantation.

Reduced exposure to calcineurin inhibitors in renal transplantation
Article Abstract:
The efficacy and relative effects of four immunosuppressive regimens for transplant recipients are evaluated. Results show that a regimen of daclizumab, mycophenolate mofetil, and corticosteroids in combination with low-dose tacrolimus may be advantageous for renal function, allograft survival, and acute rejection rates.

Immunosuppressive drugs for kidney transplantation
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to focus on agents that are either approved or in phase 2 or phase 3 trails in kidney transplantation. The development of immunosuppressive drugs is the key to successful allograft function and is used for induction, maintenance and reversal of established rejection.
