Counting the cost of cuts
Article Abstract:
The UK's National Health Service (NHS) is in the grip of a major financial crisis in April 2006, resulting in thousands of job losses, and Prime Minister Tony Blair asserts he would see through its reform before he steps down from his post. A discussion on the radical measures trusts are taking to implement the flood of government directives, as well as their impact on nurses, is presented.
