Creating calendar and table templates in Microsoft PowerPoint
Article Abstract:
Microsoft PowerPoint can be an effective tool for creating calendar and table templates. PowerPoint does not have a table editor, but object linking and embedding enable PowerPoint to use Microsoft Word to create and edit tables. Selecting the button to insert a table makes the menu change to Word, assuming Word is installed. If Word is not available or sufficient memory is not available, and it would be well to note that going back and forth uses up memory, the table template may be a useful tool. The calendar template is not terribly useful and ends with Dec. 1997, although correcting month and year is possible.

Article Abstract:
Microsoft PowerPoint 4/95 has a timeline template that makes it possible to make up basic uncomplicated timelines suitable for performance improvement projects. The timelines created with the program are helpful when added to memos, reports and presentations. A color scheme is automatically set up on the background template. Space for text is limited, but font size can be cut down and later the text portion can be resized independently.
