Disability employment advisers (DEAs) are often the first point of contact for employers who want to use the disability symbol and for disabled people who are having trouble finding or keeping a job. DEAs undertake psychometric testing, and, as members of the Placing Assessment and Counselling Teams (PACT), they consult with social workers, physiotherapists, doctors and other specialists.

Lights, camera, action: doctors in A&E units may soon become a thing of the past
Article Abstract:
A London hospital is pioneering a scheme for its A&E unit which uses nurse practitioners and a live video link with senior doctors. The aim is to provide immediate expert support to nurse practitioners if they are unsure of any aspects of a case being dealt with. The ultimate aim is to boost patient care.
