Securicor's private security arm, Securicor Consultancy was forced to hand over a substantial ransom to kidnappers holding hostage the wife of a driver. The company has now produced a video showing employees how to react to kidnapping threats and is marketing it to to other companies. Dead tyred
Article Abstract:
Sleep related vehicle accidents (SRVAs) can cause serious injury and death, while those involving lorries can also have financial costs. Company cars and lorries are involved in many SRVAs, with drivers on night work being particularly vulnerable. Causes of SVRAs include monotonous driving, typified by motorways, sleepiness produced by alcohol or prescribed drugs and driver inattention. The best advice to drivers in danger of falling asleep at the wheel is to stop driving and take a five minute nap.
