Designing a simple help card for use with a syringe driver
Article Abstract:
A majority of drug treatment in the UK is provided safely but mistakes and accidents do sometimes occur making it essential for hospitals to institute safe systems. To decrease drug infusion errors, a small, simple to use help card was developed to be used with a Graseby MS16A syringe driver that can be used with a variety of sizes and manufacturers' syringes.

Article Abstract:
The new Royal College of Nursing (RCN) guidance should be used to prevent the human errors and failures while giving blood transfusions. The most common errors are caused by the failure to monitor the patients' vital signs at the early stages of transfusion, incorrect patient identification and the dangers involved while prelabeling sample tubes.
