Diabetes and coronary revascularization
Article Abstract:
A study is carried out to summarize the current state of evidence comparing the effectiveness and safety of c. The results conclude that the mortality advantage and decreased rates of revascularization seen with CABG in subgroups from early trials may not be applicable in the era of drug-eluting stents, glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors, and the latest medical therapies as of March 2005.

Terminal complement blockade with pexelizumab during coronary and artery bypass graft surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass
Article Abstract:
Inflammation and ischemia-reerfusion injury during coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass are associated with post operative myocardial infraction (MI) and mortality. The efficacy and safety of pexelizumab, a C5 complement inhibitor, in reducing perioperative MI and mortality in CABG surgery is determined.
