Diagnosing genocide - The case of Darfur
Article Abstract:
In Darfur, Sudan a regional conflict has forced 1.3 million people from their homes and killed at least 30,000 people outright - the fragility of the humanitarian response and the nature of genocide are core themes Darfur also raises the spectre of slow-motion genocide, malignantly engineered by a totalitarian state, crafted to appear to have arisen as the result of a failure of humanitarian assistance.

Beyond humanitarian bandages-confronting genocide in Sudan
Article Abstract:
Mortality was high in West Darfur, Sudan that reflected high death rate due to direct violence and the conditions of life imposed on the displaced. A study conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed that 6000 to 10,000 people are dying each month from disease like diarrhea and the effects of malnutrition.

Cardiopulmonary bypass after 50 years
Article Abstract:
An insight into different innovations that have helped solve cardiovascular problems for the past 50 years is highlighted. The early years of cardiac surgery was effective but not safe but newer machines and medicine have resolved these problems.
