Dilated cardiomyopathy: learning to live with yourself
Article Abstract:
Dilated cardiomyopathy caused by adenovirus or specific strain of coxsackie virus is demonstrated with the help of animal model. The acute immunological reaction to the viral infection, in a susceptible genetic background, leads to the development of an autoimmune reaction targeted against cardiac antigens, which is supported by presenting compelling data.

Autoantibodies against cardiac troponin I are responsible for dilated cardiomyopathy in PD-1-deficient mice
Article Abstract:
30-kDa protein is purified from heart extract and is identified as cardiac troponin I (cTnl) encoded by a gene in which mutations can cause familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Experimental finding suggests that monoclonal antibodies to cTnI induce heart dysfunction and dilatation by chronic stimulation of Ca(super +2) influx in cardiomyocytes.

Helicobacter pylori infection triggers aberrant expression of activation-induced cytidine deaminase in gastric epithelium
Article Abstract:
This article explains that the infection of gastric epithelial cells plays a major role in causing gastric cancer. It is found that aberrant activation-induced cytidine deaminase caused by the helicobacter pylori infection may be the cause for gastric carcinogenesis.
