Discontinuing combination antiretroviral therapy during the first trimester of pregnancy: insights from plasma human immunodeficiency virus-1 RNA viral load and CD4 cell count
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on human immunodeficiency virus-1-infected pregnant women receiving antiretroviral medications. The authors report that the discontinuation of antiretroviral therapy during the first trimester of pregnancy will increase human immunodeficiency virus viral load and decline CD4 cell count.
