Diseases transmitted by pets
Article Abstract:
There are over 150 diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans. Dogs and cats are major sources of zoonotic diseases from bites and scratches, and include rabies, pasteurellosis, and cat-scratch disease. The plague can be transmitted to humans from fleas from a cat. Rabbits and birds can also transmit diseases to humans.
