Doctors key to triggering FDAs warning signals

The US Food and Drug Administration will learn through its MedWatch program from physicians who detect the serious reactions of patients to prescribed drugs, medical products or dietary supplements. The program warns physicians about newly revealed drug problems and thus fights against spurious drugs with alerts about fake Procrit and Lipitor posted on its Web site and e-mailed to electronic subscribing.
