Does organ removal improve quality of life for a child with severe disabilities?
Article Abstract:
The removal of an organ from a child's body can be extremely beneficial for the children with disabilities that have several non-life-saving interventions on a regular basis, as it might reduce their problems and discomfort. The analysis shows that despite the advantages of organ removal, there are many people who think such a practice is ethically wrong, as it can sabotage the quality of life of people, who do not even have a say in the decision.

The need for specialist intervention is explored. The barriers to effective care are scrutinized and potential solutions are suggested, as many people with learning disabilities are reliant upon their carers for the maintenance of their oral health, and hence an analysis of advice to carers is presented.
